These four horses are racing for The Richard Rowe Racing Partnership 2011/2012 season.
High Oscar got off to a flying start (see report at the bottom of the page)
There are still a few shares available in the Partnership.
x Falika (Fr)
x Mystical Treat (Ire)
2007 Bishop of Cashel (as yet un-named)
I acquired this Irish bred back in February, and as you can see she is a very attractive, good sized mare with good conformation. She had already been cantering when she arrived with me, so I was able to press on and put her into some stronger work. I can assure you in her faster paces she's most impressive on the gallops, to the point I think she should be able to win a Mares' Bumper. Obviously with a young horse like her, we need to get her first run out of the way & then decide if she'll be good enough to go for Championship Bumpers or go hurdling.
"I No Understand (Ire)"
Impressive winner of his only race to date a Point to Point ridden by top jockey Mr Burton, who reported "this horse should be well capable of winning a bumper" He's a very fine, athletic looking individual. I watched the dvd of his race & was most impressed by his speed & accurate jumping. At this stage I'm open minded about which route we take with him. The fact he jumped so well in his Pt-to-Pt makes me lean toward starting him off in EBF type races, but, I have no dout this already proven horse, will do very well as a Novice/Novice Handicap Hurdler. When I bought him at Doncaster Sales I heard very favourable reports about him from well respected judges who saw him win. I'm very excited indeed about this horse's future.
"The Bishops Baby (Ire)" Raced 10 times last season, winning & being placed in all but one outing. An exceptionally consistent mare & real flag bearer for the Partnership. She enjoys her jumping very much and I feel she would have no problem moving into the Novice Chasing category this season, she certainly has the scope & ability. She currently has a rating of 110 over hurdles and I'm sure her very good turn of foot will enable her to win Novice Chases and indeed Mares' Chases very easily. So far she's done her winning round trhe smaller local tracks & that's where she'll start out again, but it would be no surprise if, as the season progresses, she's racing at one of the graded tracks.
"High Oscar" Only out of the frame twice last season, a really genuine, sound jumper with a huge appetite for racing. Currently rated 92, he races from 2 - 3miles which makes this athletic accurate jumper very versatile. There are lots of opportunities for him round his favoured local tracks Fontwell & Plumpton. He has a really good attitude and there are still races to be won with this fellow.

We've made a fantastic start, "High Oscar" the first runner for the Partnership this season, sluiced in at Fontwell yesterday in tremendous style, winning the 2.40 Chase as he pleased by some 14 lengths. Patiently ridden by young Brendan Powell, who allowed this seasoned campaigner to find a really good jumping rhythm, and just waited poised to make his move, which he did winning unchallenged. A lovely start which augurs well for a cracking season for the Partnership.
Due to "High Oscar" having to be sidelined for the remainder of the season, we bring in "Minella Mistake" to represent the Partnership. She is an 8 year old mare by Witness Box x Minella Madam by The Parson. She's a lovely mare who thoroughly enjoys her racing and has already been placed in bumpers and over hurdles.
